Chur offers an excellent infrastructure for private and public transport. There are fast hourly train connections to and from Zurich, St. Gallen, Berne and Basel. By car it takes about 60 minutes to Zurich and St. Gallen, 90 minutes to the Ticino (South Switzerland) and 180 minutes to Milan or Munich.
