Mentoring

Mentoring describes a relationship system between a person with years of (professional) experience (mentor) and an inexperienced person (mentee) who is often younger. Mentors support, offer advice, introduce into networks and help understand the mechanisms and unwritten rules of organisations. The mentoring is a reciprocal relationship that stands outside the usual senior/junior dependencies. Mentors can often also profit from the contact to students, for example by gaining insights into a modern university. Essential for an effective partnership is a constructive attitude characterised by openness and dedication.

Our mentoring programme is an external individual mentoring programme for students in the advanced stages of their studies. Over the course of one year, the mentees will have the opportunity to cultivate a regular exchange with a mentor who is actively engaged in the economic sector. The aim is to monitor and plan your personal and professional development with the help of an unbiased observer.
