Student Counseling
The following additional services are available for free as part of student counselling:
- Counselling for personal problems
- Contact point for personal crisis situations
- Liaison service
- Interface between HTW Chur and the local authorities, departments, offices and external counselling centres (social services, clinics, etc.)
The aim of this service is to offer the students a first point of call when experiencing personal problems or crisis situations. Students may require the assistance of the student counselling services in the following situations:
- Financial problems
- Family crisis
- Addiction counselling
- Personal crisis situations
- Burnout
- Mobbing
To ensure full discretion to the students, HTW Chur works with an external coach/consultant. No names will be disclosed to the HTW Chur unless the student requests this or an intervention should become necessary in order to reach a solution (even in this situation the name will only be disclosed with the student’s permission). The external coach is required to check the student status of the person requesting counselling. Normally the meeting(s) will be held outside HTW environment unless the student requests the meeting to be held at the HTW premises.
We are happy to announce that Harri Morgenthaler has been engaged for this counselling service. Harri Morgenthaler has many years professional experience as an executive in the financial sector and as a coach/supervisor and social worker. His broad professional experience enables him to act interdisciplinary and solution oriented. In addition, Harri Morgenthaler can make use of an extensive and valuable regional network.
