Specialised knowledge of media technology forms the centre of this study course. Students are provided with basic competencies such as, for example, general media technology and communication science knowledge as well as knowledge about the media, economics, politics, society, law, information technology, journalism and also recognition and evaluation of media-economic interrelations.
For this reason the following three competencies are supporting pillars of the study course: multi-media, media technology, economic and entrepreneurial knowledge.
Advanced training
MAS in Multimedia Production and Journalism
With the MAS in Multimedia Production and Journalism, students gain knowledge of media-technology as well as economic, scientific and design skills. This course of studies fills the gap between media technology, economics, media and communication science.
IMK Media Studies
In close cooperation with the School for Applied Linguistics (Schule für Angewandte Linguistik, SAL), the Institute for Media and Communication (IMK) of the University of Applied Sciences, Chur offers a course of studies in journalism.
Institute for Media and Communication
The Institute for Media and Communication offers a course of studies in journalism. The goal of this career-accompanying course of studies is to provide both newcomers and established professionals with well-founded and practice-oriented training and further education in a justifiable time-frame. The basic course of studies is completed with the Media Certificate (IMK-Zertifikat Medien) and the supplementary course with the Media Diploma (IMK-Diplom Medien). The research centre "for language in Media, Business and Corporate Publishing", maintained together with the Schweizerischen Text Akademie, provides advisory services and carries out applied research.
