Project Name: Hot Beds
Project Description: Overcoming socio-economic barriers regarding the rental of second-residences in Swiss tourism regions.
In Switzerland less and less holiday homes and second residences are rented out, thereby increasing the number of so called ‚cold beds’. The Hot Beds project is based on the latest results from the demand side and further examined from the supply side perspective. Hot Beds indicate how the renting out of residences may be encouraged by use of new rental measures, present practical operative alternatives founded on tests, conducted with business partners. Such actions promote innovation in the second-residence market, further supporting the acceleration of the structural transformation.
