Research Areas
The Swiss Institute for Entrepreneurship SIFE is dedicated to the establishment and development of enterprises and innovation implementation. The institute’s three research areas are Innovation, Start-up & Growth, and Internationalization.
Innovation
In the field Innovation Management, we examine the necessary conditions, processes and the management of innovation. For the field of focus Innovative Regions, we analyze regional innovation systems and develop tools for adding value to the region.
Start-up & Growth
In the research area Start-up & Growth, we focus on the regional impact factors on entrepreneurial activies, success and failure. We also examine the success factors of corporate and university spin-offs and focus on the structures, the contents and the implementation of entrepreneurship and management education.
Internationalisation
We examine the motives, processes and challenges of Internationalisation. We advise companies on how to overcome difficulties and foster export-promoting organizations in the range of their products and services. Our students are educated on the questions of internationalisation.
